Kids and their Brothers and their Parents and their Grandparents Learn How to Set Up a Model Train Layout

Filed under: Hobbies — admin @ 11:18 am

This is from the GDP people.

“Last April we started a special workshop for kids in the 8-11 age range. The goals of the program are to teach kids to run the museum layouts and develop the skills to build a layout of their own. We meet about once a month on a Saturday for 2 hours. This video shows the activities that took place at a workshop in August. There are also shots of family members who accompany the kids to the program. At first we were going to limit the workshop to five meetings but decided to make it ongoing. When the video was made we had 5 kids attending regularly. Now we are up to 13 members.”

Adora began to write short stories at age 4. By the time she was 6, she could type her own stories on her computer, and her first book was published when she was age 7.
